What is included
Good-quality helmet(s), a tyre inflation kit and a padlock for the front brake disc.

Insurance
Only the Yamaha NMAX NEO 2024 has third-party liability insurance, up to 10 million Rp. That covers damage you cause to other people or their property, not your scooter and not your own injuries. The older NMAX 155 is not insured. We strongly recommend your own travel insurance, and checking that it covers scooter riding.
Road tips
- Drive defensively. People enter the road without looking around, and many have no licence or insurance.
- Check your tyres every morning. A flat can be fixed cheaply at a roadside repair shop (“bengkel”).
- Stay on Lombok. The scooters can’t leave the island, so they can’t go to the Gilis.
